Anterselva
Valle Anterselva (German: Antholzertal) is located at 1030 meters of altitude but it can also reach 1532 meters. Family Holiday Italy it’s a secondary Val Pusteria valley; it’s 18 km long, included in the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina natural park, famous thanks to its flora and fauna wealth. This park is also famous thanks to its marsh and it’s possible to observe the only carnivouros vegetal specie in South Tyrol, the “Drosera”. The Valle Anterselva fauna is very interesting, as it’s possible to admire foxes, owls and many kinds of birds. There are many glaciers in the park and you can take part into the “cones game” and know the therapeutic virtues of local plants. The Anterselva lake is included in the natural park and it’s 37 meters deep. It lies near a road with many curves and it’s possible to see it just in summer. The road leads towards the Passo Stalle (German: Staller Satter), beyond which you are in Austria. The following mountain resorts are located in Valle Anterselva: Anterselva di Sotto (German: Antholz Niedertal), Anterselva di Mezzo (German: Antholz Mittertal) and Anterselva di Sopra (German: Antholz Obertal). They count 1300 inhabitants all together. Other villages in Valle Anterselva are Rasun di Sopra (German: Oberrasen) and Rasun di Sotto (German: Niederrasen).
